On Sunday March 23, 2025, the members of the Amazing Grace Christian Center located at 2409 Airport Hwy in Toledo, Ohio gathered to celebrate the church’s 21rst anniversary along with the church’s founder and pastor, Rev. Skip Turner at the church.

It was a great day of celebration as the church members thanked God for his blessing and his redemption. That’s what Amazing Grace Christian Center is all about, redemption and forgiveness of our sins. The church’s founder and current pastor Rev. Edward Skip Turner tells a great personal story of being lost, but now he is found through the grace of God. He said, “God put it on my heart to start a church, where those who have been redeemed, could come and minister to others and witness their salvation. Some churches do not recognize or afford those who have come out of the world and are in recovery an opportunity to minister about their life lessons. The Lord has blessed me with a church where we can be free to let people grow. At Amazing Grace, we are free to preach, teach, and sing for and about the glory of the Lord, here everybody has that opportunity. After you have overcome diversity, in your life, through the Lord, you should do something for him. Let the world know about Jesus Christ, that’s what he calls us to do!”

This is exactly what Pastor Skip Turner did for himself after being saved out of a life of drugs and a wild street life, through the Lord. He went out and sought ways to proclaim the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ to the world. What better way of doing that than to start his own church. After all, he was divinely inspired. That church is Amazing Grace Christian Center.

The Spirit at Amazing Grace is friendly, comfortable, and easy going. All one must do is come, listen, and learn, it is a great way to enter the Christian way of life if that is what you seek.

On this particular Anniversary Sunday, church musician and member Minister James R. Ellis Jr. delivered the Word and the message. In his testimony he assured everyone that, “God will supply all your needs!” After that service ended on a high note and a nice anniversary dinner was served.
